Satu Mare devine pentru un weekend capitala jazzului în România! Primăria Municipiului Satu Mare și Centrul Cultural ,,G.M. Zamfirescu” continuă tradiția organizării festivalului de jazz, dar ușor reinventat, cu noutăți muzicale și elemente care vor da o notă aparte întregului eveniment.
Astfel că, în perioada 25-27 iunie, în Parcul Dr. Fátyol Rudolf și în sala Filarmonicii Dinu Lipatti, sătmărenii se vor putea bucura de muzica unor artiști cunoscuți și apreciați atât pe plan național, cât și internațional, cât și de prezența celor mai cunoscute trupe ale momentului.
De asemenea, în premieră, la ediția din acest an, iubitorii de jazz vor avea ocazia să îl asculte pe cunoscutul artist israelian, Avishai Cohen în formatul trio, alături de pianistul Elchin Shirinov din Azerbaidjan și tânăra artistă de origine israeliană, Roni Kaspi, la tobe.
După ce a încântat publicul pe cele mai mari scene ale lumii, Avishai Cohen Trio ajunge și la Satu Mare cu proiectul muzical care combină cu succes muzica de pe cele 17 albume lansate și colaborările muzicale pe care artistul le-a avut de-a lungul carierei sale cu muzicieni și compozitori din întreaga lume.
Programul festivalului include și spectacolele de jazz ale artiștilor Amaliei Gaiță, Alex Calancea Band, Sidewalk Troubadours, Jazzapella din România și spectacolul celei mai cunoscute artiste de jazz din Ungaria, Harcsa Veronika, care va concerta duminica alături de Gyémánt Bálint.
Biletele la festival se vor putea cumpăra de pe platforma pe www.bilete.ro: 50 RON pentru concertul extraordinar Avishai Cohen, iar 25 RON/zi pentru zilele de sâmbătă și duminică. În caz de condiții meteo nefavorabile, concertele vor avea loc în sala Filarmonicii Dinu Lipatti.Pentru a completa atmosfera de festival, în acest an, sătmărenii vor putea servi și un pahar de vin, dintr-o largă varietate de vinuri în acorduri fine de jazz și muzică bună. Evenimentul este organizat sub egida Primăriei Municipiului Satu Mare și a Centrului Cultural ,,G.M.Zamfirescu”, cu respectarea măsurilor de prevenire a răspândirii COVID-19.

Avishai Cohen Trio
Over the last two decades Internationally acclaimed bassist, singer, composer Avishai Cohen, has earned his reputation as one of the world's greatest bassists. It is however as a composer that his musical statement has grown extensively throughout the world, attracting large live audiences, listeners and passionate fans.
Avishai will be back on stage again after a long period off the road due to the Covid 19 pandemic worldwide. ‘I have missed so much the stage, my fans, and touring in general. I am so thrilled to perform during this exceptional time for all of us . It will be an emotional return for me after a difficult time for everybody and I will be happy to perform live music with my fans in safer environments and conditions; music heals .’
Avishai with his new trio line up, will be presenting music from his album ‘ Arvoles ‘and new compositions yet to be recorded alongside well know fans favourites for with partners , pianist and composer Elchin Shirinov from Azerbaijan, who has been inspired since an early age by great musicians, who always knew he wanted to be become a jazz musician. Elchin, a stable piano chair for the past few years, also features strongly on Avishai’s new orchestra album ‘ Two Roses’ released April 2021.
Avishai is delighted to introduce an exceptional new talent, drummer Roni Kaspi, born July 2000 in Israel, who has been playing the drums since the age of 7. Roni is currently majoring in Performance and Electronic Production & Design at Berklee College of Music, USA, with professors Terri Lyne Carrington and Billy Killson. When lectures went online due to Covid-19, Roni returned back to Israel. During lockdown she met with Avishai Cohen virtually performing with him on Facebook ,which instantly developed into a strong musical connection, resulting in Roni being invited to join Avishai on tour from September 2020.
Expect high emotions and wonderful interactions between the trio and fans.
